words to live by. coupled with "you only live once", the "work hard / play hard" mantra sure does give excuse to a lot of stupid [but fun] adventures.

and they certainly wouldn't happen without my dear friends, without whom i might still be the angelic little person i always thought i'd be.

however, i shouldn't totally misrepresent myself. having managed to age quite rapidly [or so it feels] over the last couple of years, my work hard / play hard routine has more often than not ended up as work hard / sleep hard. i still mostly attribute the lethargy to lack of exercise and have my dad to thank for the eternal voice in the back of my head, "need more exercise. need more exercise."

so the late-nite kid in me quickly morphs into rather tame get-togethers at any of the bazillion new fusion dining venues around town.

but enough about nothing.

let's talk more about nothing. mm...friday nite - what to do, what to do. hmm...at the bar - what to drink, what to drink. hmm...starving - where to eat, where to eat. you get the picture. be it attributable to lost brain cells or simply a dearth of good ideas, i'm stumped 8.5 times out of 10 when it comes time to think of something to do / eat / drink.

as such, a portion of romp will be dedicated to me - a mini eleenportal - a portaleen, if you wil [i crack myself up], to log the places i've been, the places i've been meaning to go etc. etc. okay, let's see here.
