Manager, Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements utilizing internal and external resources, including documentation of processes and controls, testing of controls (including self-monitoring), remediation, and sub-certifications.
  • Participate in the drafting and communication of accounting policies.
  • Assist external auditors in annual audit process.
  • Special projects as needed.

Senior Accountant

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Senior Tax Analyst

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

This position will be responsible for U.S. Federal, State and Local Corporate income tax returns. The Senior Tax Manager will establish proactive working relationships with cross-functional organizations, liaising with finance, operations, and governmental tax agencies and outside tax advisors.

Responsibilities:

  • General Ledger reconciliations and certain tax accruals and adjustments.
  • Some of the more complex tax reporting, research and planning.
  • Assists on some transactional tax issues (VAT, GST, and Sales Tax).

Staff Accountant

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Google is looking for a Staff Accountant who will be responsible for a variety of accounting responsibilities including month-end close, inter-company transactions and cash reconciliation all done in compliance with GAAP. Responsibilities:

  • Recording, maintenance, and reconciliation of inter-company transactions related to our non-U.S. entities.

Payroll Manager

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Google is looking for a seasoned, hands-on Payroll Manager responsible for directing the activities of our payroll staff and developing and monitoring all tasks necessary to process payroll. This position is also responsible for managing relationships with internal and external auditors and state and federal agencies. You will ensure that critical deadlines are met and that payroll processes are fully efficient. You will evaluate and make recommendations to management to enhance procedures, controls and/or systems to ensure success and compliance with a long-term strategic viewpoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Considerable knowledge of payroll administration, including federal and state regulations, in a multi-state environment.
  • Develop strong internal controls over the flow of information from Human Resources, any other source providers and all internal systems.
  • Partner with various departments as well as auditors to implement all necessary controls, processes and procedures. Participate fully in any Sarbanes-Oxley related compliance project.
  • Organize and assign work amongst staff ensuring a fully efficient payroll operation, overall professional growth and the departmentís ability to meet all company deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelorís degree, or equivalent. Major in Accounting is preferred.
  • CPP certification a plus.
  • 10 years of payroll-related and accounting experience.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and thorough knowledge of payroll and human resources policies and procedures.
  • Proven track record of creating and implementing internal controls and process improvements.
  • Experience processing varied employee benefits.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ADP payroll systems and experience with Oracle financials (11i preferred).
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products.

Accounts Payable Accountant

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Work in a team environment within the Corporate Finance Department, reporting to the Accounts Payable and Payroll Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Review, time stamp and process daily accounts payable mail.
  • Match vendor invoices to existing POs or route to appropriate manager for approval if necessary.
  • Verify invoice approvals and prepare daily batches for input into Oracle Accounts Payable system.
  • Work closely with AP Team Lead to support processing of partner payments and correspondence.
  • Assist Sales Finance Team in supporting monthly revenue-share payments.
  • Assist in resolving all on-hold A/P accounts.
  • Handle vendor calls and provide timely and accurate response to all A/P inquiries (vendor or internal). Maintain good relationship with all vendors.

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Google is looking for a seasoned, systems savvy finance professional with excellent project management skills. Job description:

  • Analyze and plan for the development and deployment of automated systems and enhanced end-to-end processes for Finance, using sound IT and project management practices.

Billing/Invoice Administrator - Operations

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

This position is responsible for receiving, reviewing, tracking, and submitting for approval all invoices related to technical operations at Google. This individual will work closely with the Accounts Payable team to receive copies of all invoices for approval; will check invoices for accuracy both with automated tools and through communications with other teams; will track the progress and ensure that all invoice are reviewed in a timely manner; and will submit verified invoices for approval to senior management. This position will also be responsible for working through and resolving any discrepancies or other billing issues with vendors and for making recommendations on improvements or enhancements to the overall approval process.

Requirements:

  • At least three years administrative experience preferably in an accounts payable or billing group.
  • An undergraduate degree from a top flight university.
  • A good high level understanding of concepts related to technical operations including collocation, network transport, and network transit services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills; excellent Internet and computing skills; a very good knowledge and understanding of financial models.
  • Experience interacting with all levels and departments within a company including field offices both domestically and international.
