Director of International Product Management

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

We are looking for a strong candidate to lead the team responsible for internationalizing our products. You will head a team of talented product managers, who are responsible for all internationalization, localization, and international communication efforts at Google.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant experience managing large teams (10 people+).
  • Solid leadership skills, experience building strong teams. Proven track record for product delivery. Able to fit in well within an informal startup environment and to provide hands-on management.
  • Previous experience having internationalized at least 5 products.
  • Proven track record working of success across international offices and organizations.
  • Willing to travel abroad ~1 per month.
  • Fluent in preferably 2 of Google's top 5 non-English languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Japanese).
  • Computer science degree a plus, but not required.

Product Manager

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Do you have a passion for creating great products? Are you eager to make things work better and do something with impact? You will work with engineering on new products, as well as enhance existing products. Requirements:

  • Product design or product management experience.

International Product Manager

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Are you eager to do something with global impact? Google is looking for someone who will ensure that we have the best worldwide product offerings.

Job Description:

  • Initiate new products and/or product enhancement projects to meet existing or anticipated market needs.
  • Determine product specifications and document in a Product Requirements Document (PRD).
  • Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering, track product development, and develop product launch plans.
  • Engage closely with engineering team and assist in determining the best technical implementation methods as well as reasonable execution schedule.
  • Establish short and long term product goals and strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science (MS or PhD a plus).

Business Product Manager, Enterprise

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Do you have a passion for helping Google grow its enterprise business? Can you get excited about working cross functionally to take this business to the next level? Are you skilled at interfacing with many different people on many projects at once? You will be a key member of Google's dynamic enterprise team including engineering, marketing, sales, support, and operations. You will be responsible for: product definition, market analysis, customer segmentation, sales strategy, customer feedback, competitive analysis, sales training, and many other tasks associated with driving the success of the Google Search Appliance and other enterprise products. Associate Product Marketing Manager

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

Localization Coordinator

Position based in Mountain View, CA.

This person will be responsible for coordinating efficient, high quality translation and localization for a variety of Google sites and properties. This person will be expected to:

  • Coordinate translation through internal and external resources.
  • Work with engineers and product managers to deliver Google's international site content and products on time and with high linguistic quality.
  • Develop and maintain terminology glossaries and language style guides.
  • Recruit translators and manage relationships with them.
  • Create and execute creative solutions to achieve goals.

Responsibilities:

This person will oversee Google's translation and localization support efforts for a variety of languages and products. Responsibilities will include meeting product localization needs across multiple divisions and product lines.

Job/Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign language equivalent in English, translation and/or a relevant technical field.
  • 2+ years project management experience working in Localization industry preferred.
  • Creative approach to achieve goals in a timely manner and with high quality.
  • Individual initiative and follow through.
  • Track record of managing multipart projects involving outside resources and meeting deadlines.
  • Superb ability to speak/write/communicate in English.
  • Proficiency in foreign language(s) is a big plus. Preference for Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Dutch.
  • Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with staff inside and outside the department.
  • Must be able to take responsibility for completion of a project with multiple parts and work collegially with other staffers to ensure projects meet deadlines and budgets.
  • Knowledge of online services and the Internet is essential.
  • Knowledge of HTML, desktop publishing software and translation memories is a definite plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
